Sri Lanka beat India by 7 wickets with 75 balls remaining in the penultimate match of the Asia cup today at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
Sri Lanka after deciding to field dominated the match throughout and restricted India to 209 in 42.3 overs setting up an easy target. Comeback player Farveez Maharoof was the star of the match taking 5 wickets with a hat trick and leading the India's collapse.
Chasing 210 Sri Lanka lost Dilshan and Upul Tharanga early one but Sangakkara's 73 and Mahela's unbeaten 53 lifted Sri Lanka to win the match by seven wickets.
Sri Lanka and India will meet again on Thursday for the Asia Cup final.
