At least 46 people have died in landslides triggered by heavy rain in western Myanmar near the border with Bangladesh, state media reported on Thursday.
Bridges, homes and other buildings were damaged after record rainfall of more than 13 inches (33 centimetres)on Wednesday in parts of Rakhine State, the New Light of Myanmar newspaper said.
Dozens of people have also been killed across the border in southeastern Bangladesh where heavy rain has triggered flash floods and landslides in recent days, according to police there.
