Mothers' Day meditation retreat at Indiana Buddhist Temple


Fort Wayne, IN: A special Mothers' Day meditation retreat was held at the Indiana Buddhist Temple in Fort Wayne, Indiana in USA on Sunday from 12.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. to bless upon all mothers of the world.

The highlights of the retreat were sitting and walking meditation, loving kindness meditation focusing on all the mothers of the world, Sutta discussions, question and answer session, and chanting of Pirith to invoke blessings of Triple Gems to participants and all mothers.
At the end of the program monks of Indiana Buddhist temple served the food to mothers and the rest who took part in the retreat.
Ven. T. Devananda, Abbot of the temple, and two resident monks, Ven. N. Seelawimala and Ven. B Sumedha, organized this ceremony to respect all mothers of the world.
The mediation retreat was conducted by Ven. M. Pannaloka from the Dharma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara in Los Angeles.
The Temple will hold its Wesak religious festivities on Saturday, May 15 at the Temple premises in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
