Obama says unemployment rate could drop to 8 per cent

U.S. President Barack Obama said the country’s unemployment rate could fall to eight per cent before he faces re-election next November.

The unemployment rate, currently at 8.6 percent, has not been at or below 8 per cent since he took office in January 2009 amid a global economic crisis.
