'Raavanan' faces protests in Sri Lanka, theatre torched

A cinema hall planning to screen 'Raavanan' was torched here amidst protests against the film owing to it's star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and director Mani Ratnam's decision to stay away from the IIFA awards held in Sri Lanka.

Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan's release is simply big because it is Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies releasing the movie all over India. The movie is the biggest release this year and it is quite evident with the number of prints, the movie is releasing.

'Raavan's Tamil, Telegu version to release in US

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam's much-awaited release 'Raavan' starring Bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, will also be released in its Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions in US to tap the regional market.
