Sri Lanka's former Chief Justice invited to join international judicial organization

Former Chief Justice of Sri Lanka Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake has been invited to join an international judicial body. Dr. Bandaranayake has reportedly been invited to join the World Judicial Commission (WJC) which is the legal arm of the World Government of World Citizens (WGWC). Several attempts to get a confirmation on the invitation from Dr. Bandaranayake failed. However, members of the judiciary with close affiliations to the former Chief Justice said the WJC has extended an invitation to her. Many international judicial organizations including the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) have condemned the impeachment of the former Chief Justice and have called for her re-instatement. Dr. Bandaranayake's removal is also to be taken up at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) sessions in Geneva that is to commence next month.
