Opposition Leader of Sri Lanka says government created a mess in many sectors

Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) leader Ranil Wickremasinghe says the government has created a mess in many sectors in the country. He told the media while launching a recruitment drive by the party that the government has created mess in the education and health sectors and is now moving to other sectors as well. The opposition leader said the government has now turned towards the judiciary and was harassing the Chief Justice. He added that there must be a stop to the current crises and that it is the UNP that could resolve these issues. According to Wickremasinghe, the people must help bring the UNP back to power in 2014 to ensure that all these crises are resolved. He also defended the UNP's decision not to send its representative of the parliamentary select committee (PSC) that probed the Chief Justice's impeachment motion to court by saying that the Supreme Court itself had determined that the party's stance was right.
