President visits Bar Association President's house after shots heard

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today visited the residence of the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, parliamentarian Wijedasa Rajapakshe at Nawala and hold cordial discussions.

Earlier today, the police said the parliamentarian has reported of hearing gun shots outside of his residence Wednesday night and the police had found two empty bullet shells from the scene this morning.

The Mirihana police have launched an investigation into the incident.
