Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) sources say that the party leaders of the Eastern Province will meet in Colombo today.
SLMC leader Rauf Hakeem has summoned the newly elected Provincial Councilors also to this meeting.
SLMC won seven seats at the Eastern Provincial Council and it has become the deciding factor of forming an administration in the province. Sources say both the ruling coalition United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) have discussed with the SLMC to form a alliance aiming power in the Provincial Council. The meetings were held in Colombo yesterday. SLMC says that it will discuss with the Easter Province leaders, elected representatives and the Supreme Council will decide then on the next move. -->
