Sri Lanka's governing United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) is to decide tomorrow (13) on the chief ministerial appointments to the Sabaragamuwa, North Central and Eastern Provinces.
UPFA General Secretary, Minister Susil Premajayantha told
that the Alliance would decide tomorrow on the appointment of chief ministers to the three provinces. He said the decision would be made after the Elections Department gazettes the names of elected candidates, which is likely to take place today. "We will decide tomorrow," he said. Speaking on reaching an agreement with the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC), Premajayantha said the governing party was hopeful of receiving a response from the SLMC today. "The party has had a lengthy discussion yesterday and we believe that they would inform us today of their decision," he said. -->
