President returns from Iran following participation in NAM summit

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa who participated in the 16th Non-aligned Movement Summit in Tehran has returned to the island early Saturday morning, the President's Media Unit said.
During his two-day visit, the President met the leaders of the Islamic world including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah al-Khamenei, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and President of Pakistan Azif Ali Zardari.

President Rajapaksa held bilateral discussions with Pakistan President Zardari, Leanese President Michel Sleiman and Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheik Hasina.
