Sri Lanka main opposition united, Deputy Leader says

Deputy Leader of Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) Sajith Premadasa says the party is united and all members were working to bring victory to the party. Premadasa told a news conference today that
he and Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe were of the same mindset and were working together and all members of the party are united in order to emerge victorious at the upcoming elections. He added that he was involved in preparing the party's nomination lists for the elections and all attention was focused on wining. According to Premadasa, the UNP would protect its identity when contesting elections and would not form an alliance with any other political party. However, he observed that the UNP nominates candidates representing various ethnic groups and religions.
