Sri Lanka police to install more CCTV cameras in the capital city

Sri Lanka Police Department says that a feasibility study is underway to install more CCTV cameras in the capital city of Colombo.
Police have already installed 108 CCTV cameras at the entrance points to the city and other vantage points for surveillance to combat crimes and ease traffic congestion in the Colombo city. The camera system is to be improved with the addition of more cameras. Police are presently studying to identify the essential places where the cameras are needed to be installed, said a spokesman of the Police Department.
