Sri Lanka Media Minister returns to country after accident in Melbourne

Sri Lanka government sources say that the cabinet spokesman and the Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella will return home from Australia where he was receiving medical treatments for more than three months.
The Minister is to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (25), sources say. Minister Rambukwella sustained serious injuries after falling from a third floor balcony of a hotel in Melbourne on February 07 this year. He was in Melbourne to attend his cricket playing son Ramith Rambukwella's knee surgeries. The Minister has sued the hotel for damage stating that he met with the accident due to the unsafe nature of the hotel. According to Media Ministry officials, the Minister has completely recovered and is in good health now. He is to resume his duties soon after his return. During his absence, Deputy Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena acted as the Media Minister.
