Sri Lanka people face consequences of government's failed foreign policy - UNP deputy leader

Deputy Leader of Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) Sajith Premadasa says the people are now facing the consequences of the government's failure to properly handle important issues. Addressing a gathering in Polpithigama, he has said that the ad hoc manner in which serious issues like politics based on thuggery, white van abductions and the country's foreign policy were handled has caused the current situation.
He has said that the government's failed foreign policy had opened the country to international interference. He has explained that a foreign policy played an important role in the future progress of the country. However, Premadasa has said that people should stand against any outside interference on Sri Lanka.
