Sri Lanka's External Affairs Minister says US resolution cannot be seen in a good light

External Affairs Minister of Sri Lanka Prof. G.L. Peiris says the country does not see the so called resolution to be presented before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva against Sri Lanka by the US as a good move. Peiris has told a local media in Geneva that
although the US officials tried to give the impression that the resolution was a good move to indirectly help the Sri Lankan government, it was not so. He has said the government did not appreciate any country that tried to force itself on Sri Lanka without asking for assistance. However, Peiris has said the Sri Lankan government was ready to face any challenge. The UN Human Rights Council sessions are to commence on the 27th in Geneva and continue till March 23rd.
