Sri Lanka wants Maldives to be a stable country

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that his country always desires for the welfare of the people of Maldives and expect the Maldives to be a stable country. President Rajapaksa has made these remarks today when he met a special envoy of the Maldives President, new Maldivian Vice President Mohamed Waheeduddin, at Temple Trees. Maldives President Dr. Mohammed Waheed Hassan has sent the envoy with a special message to Sri Lankan President. During his talks with the special envoy, the President has emphasized the need for restoration of stability in Maldives
