The Speaker of Sri Lanka parliament Chamal Rajapaksa decided to adjourn the assembly for tomorrow since the lawmakers expected to deliver speeches on legislative matters were absent today.
The House was to debate two conclusions regarding the ports and airports today when the parliament met at 1 p.m.
Senior Minister Sarath Amunugama made the proposal in this regard and the United National Party MP John Amaratunga opened the debate for the opposition.
However, the other speakers were not in the parliament today and the Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa decided to adjourn the meeting until 1 p.m. tomorrow.
