One of the missing Sri Lankans in India found from New Delhi

Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi reported today that one of the Sri Lankan pilgrims that was reported missing while on a pilgrimage in India was found.

Ananda Gunarathna, a 77-year- old resident of Elpitiya in Galle district was found in a densely populated area in New Delhi five days after he was missing, the High Commission said.

The whereabouts of the other two missing persons are yet to be traced. They are from Yatiyanthota and Deniyaya.

Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi announced yesterday that three pilgrims, from three different groups who were in India visiting the sacred Buddhist sites have gone missing. The High Commission said it was taking diplomatic measures to find the lost individuals.
