Sri Lanka President opens Ayurveda Expo 2011 International exhibition

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa today declared open the Ayurveda Expo 2011 International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition, Trade Fair and Symposium at the Bandaranaike Memorial Conference Hall in Colombo.

The two-day event is organized by the Ministry of Indigenous Medicine in association with several other ministries including the Ministry of Economic Development.



The three day mega Exhibition and Symposium showcases and promotes Ayurvedic products and services. A large number of overseas and local exhibitors and visitors are expected to participate in the event.
The exhibition stalls from Canada, China, Germany, the Netherlands and Britain are also included at the exhibition.
The visitors will have the opportunity to know all about indigenous healthcare products, services, and treatment methods practiced in Sri Lanka and other countries.
Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, Minister of Indigenous Medicine Salinda Dissanayake, Deputy Minister Pandhu Bandaranaike, Chairman of Export Development Board Janaka Ratnayke, and President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka Asoka Hettigoda were also present.
