Former World Cup wining Sri Lanka Cricket captain slams new SLC Interim Committee

Former Sri Lanka Cricket captain and Democratic National Alliance (DNA) parliamentarian Arjuna Ranatunga has slammed in the newly appointed Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Interim Committee.



He has said the persons appointed to the committee are those with political affiliations and have no love for the game.

Speaking during a protest against the SLC Interim Committee, Ranatunga has said the country's cricket administration has been politicized with appointing corrupt officials to the board.

He has observed that cricket in Sri Lanka would face a massive disaster if the current trend continues. According to Ranatunga, SLC was likely to end up as a mafia-style unit.
