men assault youth, abduct his girlfriend and rape her

Two men had assaulted a youth and abducted his girlfriend at the Kammala beach in Wennappuwa, and then raped her, police said.

The 21-year-old has told police that she had repeatedly been sexually abused by the two men.
She has been admitted to Marawila Base Hospital.
Although the incident had taken place on May 30, the suspects have not yet been arrested.
