Govt continues transfers of top level IPS officers

Continuing its shake-up of top level police officers, the Tamil Nadu government today transferred several IPS officers in the state. An official release said S K Dogra, ADGP,Economic Offences Wing,has been posted as Additional Director General of Police, Prisons, Chennai and that Ashish Bhengra, ADGP had been posted in his place.
The state Human Rights Commission will have a new ADGP in T Radhakrishnan, presently ADGP, Civil Supplies CID. K Radhakrishnan, ADGP, Vigilance, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, would take over as ADGP, Civil Supplies CID. K P Maghendran, ADGP, Crime will be ADGP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption,Chennai. Kanhu Charan Mahali,Inspector General of Police and Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, will be IGP, Central Zone, Tiruchirapalli. Abhash Kumar, IGP,Intelligence (internal Security), Chennai would be the new IGP,South Zone, Madurai while M N Manjunatha, presently holding the post, would be IGP, Crime CID, Chennai. C Sylendrababu, IGP, Commissioner of Police,Coimbatore will be IGP, North Zone, Chennai.The present incumbent R C Kudawla will be IGP, Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Board, Chennai. K Vannia Perumal,IGP,Central Zone, Tiruchirapalli would be IGP, West Zone, Coimbatore and Amaresh Pujari, IGP as IGP, Economic Offences Wing II (financial institution), Chennai.Prateep V Philip, IGP would be IGP, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Chennai, it said.
