Sri Lanka's Economic Development Minister says West would continue with attempts to destabilize the country

Sri Lanka's Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa has said groups from the West would continue with its attempts to destabilize the country by raising war crimes allegations against the country.

Minister Rajapaksa has however noted that President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the government will not leave room for the country to be split again.

Speaking at an event in Badulla, the Minister has observed that the first attempt to destabilize the country commenced this year with a report by the US State Department followed by the Darusman Report, the EU parliament debate and now the case filed against the President and Defence Secretary in Norway.

According to Rajapaksa, there are reports of an attempt to present a resolution against Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
