Washington, D.C.: The United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O. Blake, Jr. is to visit Sri Lanka next week, the State Department announced today.
The former Ambassador to Sri Lanka will travel to Maldives and Sri Lanka from April 30-May 5, 2011.
In Sri Lanka, Assistant Secretary Blake will visit USAID-supported programs and meet with local leaders in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu, the State Department said
He is also expected to meet with government officials, civil society representatives, and political leaders in Sri Lanka.
