The Sri Lankan government and the major Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) are to meet tomorrow (7) for the next round of discussions on resolving issues faced by the Tamil community in the country.
The discussion is to take place tomorrow evening and the TNA team is to be headed by TNA parliamentary group leader Trincomalee District parliamentarian R. Sampanthan.
The government and the TNA had so far held three rounds of discussions on solving the ethnic issue and the Tamil alliance is preparing a set of proposals to be handed over to the government.
The TNA is to discuss issues related to dismantling of High Security Zones, the release of remaining alleged LTTE cadres from rehabilitation centers and resettlement of Tamil civilians along with a political solution to the ethnic issue when the two sides meet for the discussions tomorrow.
