Sri Lanka President to grant appointments to new management assistants

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa will ceremonially hand over the appointment letters to a section of new management assistants at the Temple Trees this morning.


The fresh management assistants are a batch of 3,396 new recruits to the service selected through a competitive examination.

The Ministry of State Administration and Local Affairs was permitted by the government to fill 5,000 vacancies in the 3rd grade of the management assistant service.

The rest of the appointments have been given to the junior staff promoted through an internal process.

Management assistants' service basically comprises the clerks and parallel service persons.
