Sri Lanka President extends greetings to the cricket heroes

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa extending his wishes to the World Cup finalist and runner-up cricket team for future victories said the whole nation is rallying behind the team as well.


The President pointed out that Sri Lanka's ability to reach the final itself is a victory and becoming runners up in the World Cup tournament is a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's cricket history.

"The Cricket team captained by Kumara Sangakkara has created a defining moment while becoming the runner up," the President has said.

The President has said that he expects to meet all members of the team, to congratulate them and wish well for their future endeavors on behalf of the people of the country.
