I was very scared for my life--Ranjitha

After being in oblivion for almost nine months following the sex scandal, involving her and godman Swami Nithyananda, the Tamil actress Ranjitha had finally opened up at a press conference yesterday, claiming that it was not her in the sleazy video.She also revealed that Nithyananda’s car driver Lenin was behind the release of the video and that there were some people working with him who had threatened to abscond her.

"I was very scared for my life and that of my family. If I am assured of security by the government, I am ready to name the persons behind it. These people are working with Lenin Karuppu, Nithyananda's former driver,” stated the actress.

Lenin tried to rape her
While the tapes show the actress getting cozy with Godman, Ranjitha has denied the whole episode.

“It is fabricated. I am not the person in it. In fact, at that time, I was in a room that I was sharing with another female devotee in the Dhyanapeetham ashram,” stated Ranjitha.

The actress further expressed that Lenin had earlier attempted to rape her several times and had also threatened to kill her when she visited the Ashram in February.

Revealing the truth, the small time actress stated that Lenin often tormented her stating, "You will go for tours only with the Swami? Why not come with an ordinary person like me? I have been a great fan of yours from your first film 'Nadodi Thendral.'”

It’s learnt that in February, Lenin had showed her how he had morphed the photographs of some inmates. The actress stated that when she decided to take this matter to Swami Nithyananda, Lenin threaten to morph her pictures too.

Ranjitha lodges compliant
Apart from Lenin, Ranjitha has lodged a compliant in the Ramanagaram district court, against two more persons who had blackmailed her to extort money. They are American-based Aarthi Rao and a Chennai advocate Shridhar.

In the complaint, the actress also accused them of demanding Rs.20 crore from her.
