Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin praised the New START nuclear arms treaty with the United States on Wednesday in his first remarks on the pact since the US Senate approved it last week.
Putin said the treaty, which still needs to be ratified by Russian lawmakers, would impact international security and was "important" for Russia's social and economic initiatives, suggesting it could help boost foreign investment.
