Sri Lanka's Marxist party to launch two month campaign against rising cost of living

Sri Lanka's Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) plans to launch a two-month campaign against the rising cost of living.

The campaign is to commence from January 6 and titled under "The way forward for the motherland."

JVP Propaganda Secretary and parliamentarian Vijitha Herath has told the local media that the campaign would be carried out over the entire country.

According to Herath, party activists would distribute leaflets and conduct pocket meetings at towns and villages to educate the masses about the present political challenges under the new campaign.
