Sri Lanka Minister of Justice Rauf Hakeem says that the assistance of the retired judges will be sought to end the delays of court cases in Sri Lanka.
Addressing the annual conference of the judges, the Minister of Justice pointed out that in Colombo District Court alone there are 850 cases that are being heard for more than ten years.
Emphasizing that the delay of justice affected the public, the Minister stated that a court is necessary to be established per each 20 square kilometers.
The Minister also stated that a new training center of the judges would be opened at the beginning of the next year.
