Sri Lanka government coalition party National Freedom Front (NFF) today accused that there are certain officials in the Foreign Ministry helping the separatists.
The NFF is led by Housing Minister Wimal Weerawansa who conducted a fast unto death earlier in the year before the UN office in Colombo in protest of the panel appointed by the UN Secretary-General to advise him on Sri Lanka.
Former MP of the NFF Piyasiri Wijenayaka charged that the officials that run businesses and help the separatists to divide the country are behind the decision to allow the UN General Secretary's panel to come to Sri Lanka.
Wijenayaka further stated that these officials should be arrested and legal actions should be taken against them under the charges of assisting separatism.
The MP vowed to rally the patriotic forces against the UN panel and fight to defeat it.
