Kidnapped school boys rescued

Two school boys, who were kidnapped from Jehanabad in Bihar were rescued today by the police from a hotel in Munger town after remaining in captivity for three days.

Four kidnappers were also arrested, the police said. Ravi Kant, 12, a class VI student of a public school, and his relative Ajit (14) were kidnapped by unidentified persons when they went to Jehanabad town for repair of their bicycle on Sunday.

The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from Ravi Kant's father Ajay Kumar who is posted as an engineer in Uttarakhand.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Jehanabad with the help of local policemen raided a hotel here and rescued the kidnapped boys this morning, they said.
