Sri Lanka's largest state office building under construction

Sri Lanka Ministry of Labor Relations and Productivity Promotion has commenced the construction of the largest office complex of the state sector.

The 32-story building is being constructed in Narahenpita in Colombo city in a 138 perches land adjacent to the present Department of Labor office.

The Ministry is to spend Rs. 7.6 billion for the construction. Employees' Provident Fund and Employees' Trust Fund have contributed to the investment, the Ministry says.

The Ministry expects to bring all the institutes of the Ministry under one roof and also to save the current five million rupees monthly office rental paid for these institutes.
