Four more ministers sworn-in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa this evening swore-in another senior minister and three deputy ministers at the Temple Trees.


Former Resettlement Minister Milroy Fernando has been appointed as the senior Minister of Social Welfare.

Former Deputy Internal Trade and Cooperatives Minister Neomal Perera has been sworn-in as the Deputy Minister of External Affairs. Sarath Kumara Gunaratne was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of State Resources and Entrepreneur Development while Vijaya Dahanayake took oaths as the Deputy Minister of Public Administration.



Fernando, Perera, and Gunaratne were overseas attending the Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith's ordaining ceremony at Vatican when the new Cabinet ministers and deputy ministers were sworn in Monday (Nov 22).
With the new appointments Sri Lanka's huge Cabinet will include to 61 ministers and 34 deputy ministers.
