Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UN) Thursday raised a privileges issue in the parliament calling on Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa to look into the failure to allow detained former Army Commander and DNA Leader Sarath Fonseka to attend parliamentary sessions
.UNP parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara raised the issue in parliament.
Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and DNA parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake condemned the failure to allow Fonseka to attend the parliament, saying it was illegal.
Speaker Rajapaksa after hearing the MPs said he would look into the matter.
