Tamil political parties in Sri Lanka discuss need to resettle displaced in their original homes in the North
Sri Lanka's Forum of Tamil Political Parties, a group of Tamil political parties in the country, has discussed the resettlement programme in the North
.Representatives of the Tamil political parties met in Colombo Saturday to discuss the issues faced by the Tamil people in the North and East.
Local media reports stated that representatives from the TULF, EPDP, TMVP, and PLOTE were present at the meeting and had discussed the need to resettle the displaced people in their original homes instead of in alternate locations.
The politicians had also discussed the abduction of a Batticaloa TMVP Municipal Councilor and steps that need to be taken to secure his release.
