Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has reportedly appointed a committee to evaluate the conduct and progress of each ministry during the past few months.
The local media quoting government sources have said that the President has requested the committee to submit a report on each ministry to him.
According to government sources findings of this committee are to be taken into consideration when carrying out the next Cabinet reshuffle scheduled for November.
The Cabinet reshuffle is reportedly scheduled to take place after the President is sworn in for his second term in office and several portfolios are likely to be changed.
It has also been speculated that UNP and SLMC members who crossed over to the government recently might also receive Cabinet portfolios in the reshuffle.
