Sri Lanka Police to re-train 43,000 officials in service

Sri Lanka's Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mahinda Balasuriya says that the Police Department will conduct a special training for 43,000 police officials
.Initially, 17,000 police officials recruited to the regular police service during the war time to fulfill the urgent needs will be re-trained since they were not given proper police training earlier.
Afterwards, the Police Department expects to re-train 26,000 officials that were taken into the regular service from the police reserve service.

The training will be held for six months at police training schools island wide.
