President meets Sri Lankan community in Houston

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa who was in the United States to attend the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York visited city of Houston in Texas state on Saturday (25).


The Sri Lankan community in Houston held a reception at Westin Oak Hotel to welcome the President Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
Democratic Congresswoman of Houston, Sheila Jackson Lee presented a souvenir to President Rajapaksa to mark his visit to the city.
