Parliamentary debate on constitutional amendments in Sri Lanka scheduled

The leaders of the political parties that represent the parliament met today at the parliament and fixed the dates and time to have the debate on the 18th amendment to Sri Lanka Constitution.

Accordingly, the debate will be held on September 08th, the same day the draft amendments are tabled in the parliament. The debate will begin at 9:30 a.m. and it will continue until 7:00 p.m.
The vote on the bill will be held at 7:00 p.m. on September 08 following the debate
