Haul of hidden LTTE medical items recovered by Sri Lanka Navy

Sri Lanka Naval intelligence personnel attached to SLNS Walagamba in the Eastern Naval Area Command have recovered a haul of medical items hidden by the LTTE.

The sailors acting on information received found the stocks in the Panikkamkulum area of Eastern Province on Friday (10).
The items recovered include surgical items and several categories of anesthetic and anti-venom injections along with painkillers and antibiotic pills, the Navy reported.
In a separate incident, the Naval intelligence personnel attached to the same unit have recovered an anti-tank mine weighing 15 kilograms buried in the Weppamkulum area yesterday.
