Fallout between Buddhist monks and Sri Lanka Cricket over Dambulla International Cricket Stadium

The Chief Incumbent of Dambulla Rajamaha Vihara Buddhist temple Ven. Inamaluwe Sumangala Thero has asked Sri Lanka Cricket to show cause within 14 days for violating the agreement between the temple authorities and Sri Lanka Cricket over the lease of land for Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.

The Ven. Thero has pointed out that the Sri Lanka Cricket cannot allow serving liquor or tobacco in the cricket stadium according to the article 05 of the agreement that prevent such actions.
However, this condition has been reportedly violated at the tri-nation one day series recently held in Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
According to the agreement between the Temple and Sri Lanka Cricket, the temple can take possession of all movable and immovable property in case of violation of the agreement, the Thero has pointed out to Sri Lanka Cricket.
