Accepting invitation to attend UN Assembly is not a cross over, Sri Lanka opposition legislator says

Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party (UNP) parliamentarian John Amaratunga said that accepting an invitation to participate in the UN General Assembly in New York next week as a member of the Sri Lankan delegation, did not mean another UNP crossover.

Amaratunga said that he received an invitation to attend the UN Assembly by the External Affairs Ministry and he accepted it.
He told  that he was not crossing over to the government after accepting the invite.
The opposition MP is to leave for New York within the next two days.
Amaratunga added that the party had already been informed of his decision to accept the invitation.
