Sri Lankan government to remove all unauthorized structures put up under political influence

The Sri Lankan government said today that all unauthorized structures constructed during the past few years under political influence will be razed to the ground.

At the Development Committee meeting in Wattala today, the Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa has said that all unauthorized structures erected under political influence during past governments will be removed.
Rajapaksa has said the unauthorized structures have obstructed the canals in urban areas causing floods even during a minor rain.
