Development projects should be properly planned, Sri Lanka President says


It is important to carry out development projects in the country under a proper plan as an era has dawned to steer the country towards development, Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today.

Addressing the progress review meeting of the Sabaragamuwa Province Council held at the Council auditorium in Ratnapura today, the President said everybody should be committed to carry forward the development programs throughout the island. The programs should be accelerated for the benefit of the public, he said.

Mithrapala, Premalal Dissanayake, Chief Minister Maheepala Herath, Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunge, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. P.B Jayasundara,members of the Provincial Council, and heads of the government institutions were present.
