Sri Lankan court indicts mother of General Fonseka's son-in-law

A Sri Lankan court Tuesday indicted Mrs. Asoka Tilakaratne, mother of former Army Commander General (retd.) Sarath Fonseka's son in-law, Dhanuna Tilakaratne.

The Colombo High Court indicted Asoka over money laundering charges. The Attorney General's office stated that she had failed to declare 527,000 US dollars, 15 million rupees and 100 sterling pounds held by her in a safety deposit box of a private bank.
The case was heard before Colombo High Court judge Deepani Wijesundera. It is to be taken up on August 6.

Dhanuna is wanted in connection with the HiCorp arms deal case that is also before the court. He still remains at large.
