Sri Lanka's Cabinet of Ministers, which met at the Security Forces headquarters in the former LTTE stronghold, Kilinochchi today (14), has decided to reduce fuel prices by about Rs. 3 in the Jaffna peninsula.
According to the Ministry of Petroleum Industries the price of a litre of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 2.40, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 1.90 per litre with effect from today.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa unveiled the plaque for the construction of a courts complex in Kilinochchi and is due to address the displaced people in the area this afternoon.
