Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat against India in the rain delayed Test match today at the Galle International Stadium.
Today's match, the first of the three-match Test series will be Sri Lanka's ace spinner Muttiah Muralitharan's swan song in Test cricket.
The much-loved 38-year-old legend who holds the world record as the highest wicket taker in both Test and One-Day Internationals announced his retirement from Test Cricket early this month. However he may be playing for the 2011 ODI World Cup.
He hopes to get eight more wickets during the match at Galle to capture a record of 800 wickets.
